It was definitely time to change out Amelia Bedelia.
Goal:  Promote the library collection...Only a couple of books were left in the display case!

Did you know....

...that November is National Drum Month?  

Me, either, but we are making shaker drums at storytime.

Some of the last few crafts...

For the dogs

Though I am not actually doing the storytimes at this branch, I am assisting with crafts.  Here is the one that will be used with the Dogs & Cats theme.

Cups are attached with brads so the heads move. 

Other supplies needed:
Glue sticks
Markers/crayons - for whiskers & feet
Dog and/or cat ears
Tongues
Arms
Googlie eyes - I used marker only to save on supplies
Pom-pom nose
Fish for cats, bones for dogs

The cups were a bit difficult to fasten together, so parent or volunteer help would be beneficial ahead of time.  I smashed the mouth a bit so it wasn't just round.

I don't get to see the kids' final projects, but I'd bet they are cute!
