Five Little Cows
Five little cows, and not one more.
One cow ran away and then there were 4.
Four little cows, enjoy the shady tree.
One cow fell asleep, and then there were 3.
Three little cows, with nothing much to do.
One cow wandered off, and then there were 2.
Two little cows, standing in the sun.
One cow went to eat, and then there was 1.
One little cow, said, “Alone is no fun.”
He walked back to the barn, and then there were none.

Old MacDonald
Old MacDonald had a farm, EE-I-EE-I-O.
And on that farm he had a cow, EE-I-EE-I-O.
With a moo moo here and a moo moo there
Here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo moo
Old MacDonald had a farm, EE-I-EE-I-O.

Songs:

Baa, Baa, Black Sheep

Baa, baa, black sheep, have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full.

One for the master, one for the dame,
And one for the little boy who lives down the lane.

Baa, Baa, Black Sheep
Baa, baa, black sheep, have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full.

on the way to Grandpa’s farm.

Down on Grandpa’s farm, there is a big brown cow.
Down on Grandpa’s farm, there is a big brown cow.

The cow, she makes a sound like this….MOO, MOO!
The cow, she makes a sound like this….MOO, MOO!

Synopsis of How the Elephant Got His Trunk  (reader’s theater style)

Songs & Rhymes:

An elephant walks like this and that,
He's terribly tall and he's terribly fat.
He has no fingers,
He has no toes,
But goodness gracious
What a long, long nose!
----
Right foot, left foot, see me go.
I am gray and big and slow.

I come walking down the street
with my trunk and four big feet.
----
One elephant went out to play, upon a spider web one day.
He had such enormous fun, that he called for another elephant to come.

Two elephants went out to play, upon a spider web one day.
He had such enormous fun, that he called for another elephant to come.
Five elephants… They had such enormous  fun
That they all had a picnic in the sun!
OR  But there were no more elephants to come.

Elephant
A circus elephant I went to see.
(Hold hand over eyes.)

He had 4 legs and was bigger than me.
(Hold up 4 fingers and point to self.)

He had two ears big and round.
(Show two fingers and make a circle with hands.)

And one long nose that made a sound.   /eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee/
(Put arm like trunk and make elephant noise.)
